I shaved it off years ago after a comment about how much white it contained.
While I don't have a problem embracing my age, neither do I want to look older than I am.
So... a survey!
Keep it or not?
I've include two pics, one without glasses (which is where I look most of the time) and one with them (because Chris says they make me look smart).

I like the beard!
I strongly vote to keep it. You look good. The white is distinguished. Beards just make sense. Why start one's day by putting a razor to one's throat?! The key is to keep it well trimed.
I've had a beard most of my adult life, currently on my third. In college I half jokingly came up with the SPCB - The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Beards. To be a member you just have to give positive reinforcement to people in the process of starting a beard. People get a lot of grief from others while making the transition so the Society tries to counteract that.
You probably look more like a motorcycle guy WITH the beard.
