This week's lectionary reading is kind of a no brainer.
John 15:9-17

Love.
If you want to follow Jesus, love.
If you want to live in Jesus, love.
If you want Jesus to live in and through you, love.

The problem is how some people define love.
Some people call abuse - tough love.
Some people call neglect - tough love.
Some people have never known real love and love is whatever makes them feel good for the moment.

Following the command to love can look way different than loving like Jesus loves.
Maybe it's not such a no brainer after all.
