Note to readers

Sorry to say that I have re-installed the word verification feature on the comment section of this blog. I removed it a while ago because I know that it can be a bit of a pain and I figured that I've been moderating comments since I first started blogging several years ago.

However, I've been getting quite a bit of spam comments. It's odd that they all seem to target a few select posts, some of them from years ago. Never-the-less, it is several per day and more than enough to convince me to put the filter back on.

Please comment just the same and I apologize for the inconvenience of doing so.

John Hill, I know exactly what you mean. I found that one of my old posts was targeted with numerous spam messages per day, so I had to take off the post Anonymous option.

I find it sad.

There is a blogger option (where? hmmmm) that I set up awhile back that lets you limit comments to recent posts. I think I set mine for 30 days or newer.

I found the same thing happening, so I reinstalled the word verification option. So far, I'm allowing Anonymous posts, but we'll see. And I believe Mike is right - there's a way to limit comments to the newer posts...but I have no idea how to do it any more.
